Pumpkin Patch Unloading
October 5, 2009

The truck load of pumpkins was due Sunday at 1pm.  Volunteers from Compassion in Action arrived to help, lunch was served.  Then we found out the truck was in Arkansas.  The driver thought he was supposed to deliver on Monday.  On Monday it was supposed to rain all day.  SO we sent the volunteers home with a plea to please return Monday night at 1pm.

On Monday the truck arrived!  It rained all night and into the morning but my mid afternoon it had stopped.  35 volunteers came back including some students from Parkview High.  The truck was unloaded in 2 and 1/2 hours!  THANKS to everyone that helped.

Sunday Lunch - a good crowd but no pumpkins.
Monday the truck arrives.
And all is ready for the crew to unload.
We back pickups to the trailer and load them up.
Everyone helps arrange pumpkins.
Displays of gourds of different types.
And lots of small pumpkins.
We drive the pickups into the field and unload.
Load after load comes off the truck.
Retail display managers.

Time to break for some Dinner.
Parkview students dive into the Pizza.
Note who's licking their lips in the background!
Back to work before we loose the daylight.
How much more is in the truck?
Almost done and getting dark.
Last load of a job well done.
