Why am I being asked to enter these hard to read characters?

Regretfully, spammers have learned to write computer programs that search the internet for forms such as our prayer request form.  These program then insert spam messages, such as advertisements, into our prayer pages automatically - day and night.  Sometimes hundreds of such false message per day.

The only way to stop such programs is to use a graphic that they can not read using Optical Character Recognition software.  The graphic is intentionally a bit hard to read.
