Our Outreach Ministries

From our commitment to the Norcross Cooperative Ministry to our annual Pumpkin Patch for outreach, Peachtree Corners Christian Church is a "hands-on" serving congregation.

       Norcross Cooperative Ministry (NCM)
People in the area can count on Norcross Cooperative Ministry when they are in need.  The service area includes Norcross and the Gwinnett County portions of Tucker and Doraville.  Services include food, clothing, financial aid, job ministry, classes in English for speakers of other languages, and small groups.  Peachtree Corners Christian Church sends financial contributions through its annual Pumpkin Patch to NCM in addition to collecting food and clothing throughout the year.  We also brighten the holidays of families in need by providing food for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets.   Each summer we take Vacation Bible School to NCM for one or two weeks of hands-on Bible stories, crafts, snacks and fun.  Called "VBS in a Box" this exciting program brings the love of Christ to children and families who are served by NCM.

       Gwinnett Children's Shelter
Established in 1986 by three women from the Gwinnett PTA, the shelter was established as a place of refuge for Gwinnett's abused and abandoned children.  The $2.5 million Blueprint of Hope campaign has already raised $2 million to develop a new 125 acre campus for the program including a new building to house up to 26 boys and girls under the age of 12.  We participate in various ways throughout the year, including special drives such as for school supplies.  A portion of our annual Pumpkin Patch proceeds supports this ministry.

       Camp Christian
Our church supports the ministries of Camp Christian (Camp Christian), serving children of the Christian Church in Georgia at the camp’s location near Gordon, Georgia.  Through our support of the Camp’s Friendship Circle, children and youth experience God in a beautiful outdoor camping and retreat setting.

A portion of our annual Pumpkin Patch proceeds provides scholarships for inner city children to attend Camp Balaam, a summer camp experience in rural middle Georgia at beautiful Camp Christian.

Since 1989, we have been selling pumpkins in October to support our outreach ministries.

       First Atlanta Chinese Christian Church
Our sister congregation, First Atlanta Chinese Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), meets at the church each Sunday at 2:30 pm for worship.  The Pastor is Rev. Michael Zhu.  Other prayer groups and Bible studies are scheduled throughout the week.

A portion of the the congregation's tithes and offerings to the church help support all of our outreach ministries. We encourage our members to give the first fruits of their income, and the church likewise gives of the first fruits of its budget to others, in addition to the proceeds from our Pumpkin Patch.
